Methodology

RTP Report Methodology

RTP Report evaluates gambling promotions, sweepstakes casino offers, and player-facing terms through a math-first and transparency-first framework.

Our goal is not to claim that gambling is profitable. Our goal is to explain when a promotion may temporarily improve player expected value — and when the structure of the offer gives the advantage back to the operator.

What We Analyze

  1. Return to Player (RTP)

We consider the stated or estimated RTP of eligible games. A higher RTP generally reduces expected loss, but RTP is a long-run average and does not guarantee short-term results.

  1. Expected Value

We estimate whether a promotion may be positive or negative expected value after accounting for bonus size, playthrough requirements, and game RTP.

  1. Playthrough Requirements

We evaluate how many times a player must wager deposited funds, bonus funds, or total balance before redemption. Higher wagering requirements can quickly destroy the value of a bonus.

  1. Game Eligibility

We consider whether high-RTP games are eligible for the promotion and whether certain games contribute only partially toward playthrough.

  1. Redemption and Withdrawal Terms

We review redemption minimums, max cashout limits, identity verification requirements, processing times, and other withdrawal-related restrictions.

  1. Variance and Volatility

Even a positive expected value promotion can lose money in the short term. We consider whether the risk profile is reasonable relative to the expected edge.

  1. Terms Clarity

We look at how clearly the operator explains bonus rules, restrictions, expiration dates, and redemption requirements.

  1. Player Protection

We consider whether the operator provides responsible gaming tools, self-exclusion options, limits, and clear support channels.

What We Do Not Claim

RTP Report does not guarantee winnings.

RTP Report does not provide financial, legal, tax, gambling, or professional advice.

RTP Report does not claim that casino play is a reliable way to make money.

RTP Report does not recommend chasing losses or continuing to wager after a promotional edge is gone.

Core Principle

A promotion is only valuable if the math, terms, redemption process, and player behavior all support the player.

A bonus can create an edge. Repeated wagering can erase it.
